Performance

In 2024, the GLE 450e model is introduced with a plug-in hybrid engine. This is a 2.0-liter turbo system that produces 381 combined horsepower and has a 30-mile all-electric range. In addition, the 2024 AMG® GLE 53 engine has been improved to deliver more torque. Specifically, this is a 429-horsepower V6 system. The other powertrains are unchanged between 2023 and 2024. These include a 255-horsepower, four-cylinder engine, and a 375-horsepower, V6 engine. The alternatives are a 510-horsepower V8 and a 603-horsepower, hand-crafted V8.

Appearance

Both the front and rear of the 2024 GLE have been refreshed. At the front, the new look includes a wide, down-turned grille that sits atop a chrome-accented bumper. The chrome-outlined, triangular air vents are designed with horizontal accent bars. The headlights now feature a solid LED bar at the top, a pair of LED bulbs, and two segmented LED bars. At the rear, the GLE is currently styled with wide, diamond-shaped taillights and narrow, angled air intakes.

The features in the Mercedes-Benz GLE are unchanged between the 2023 and 2024 model years and vary from trim to trim. The base GLE trims for both years include a blind-spot warning, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, an integrated navigation system, auto emergency braking, MB-Tex upholstery, multi-colored ambient lighting, wireless device charging, smart device app connections, and others.
