Performance

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC is smartly engineered to combine power and smoothness. It is exclusively available with a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 255-horsepower engine. This is mated with a nine-speed auto transmission. The Mercedes-Benz GLE has four engine options across its extensive trim lineup. The base option is the same 255-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder engine. You can also choose between a 362-horsepower, turbo six-cylinder system and a 483-horsepower, turbo V8 engine. The other engines available for the GLE are a 429-horsepower turbo V6 and a 603-horsepower turbo V8.

Appearance

The two-row GLC crossover is smaller than the GLE, and it stands apart with its smoothly contoured sides and sporty, tapered roof. The nose has an athletic, premium look with a chrome-accented, ovular grille and a metallic outline around the lower-front fascia. The headlights also have a dramatic quality with an angled LED accent. The three-row GLE has a taller, more extended roof with a raked rear. The sides stand out with deeper contouring and a crisp accent. At the front end, the lower fascia has horizontal accent bars, while the grille displays vertical accents. The headlights are also distinctive, with a pair of bent LED bars.

Features

While many of the features in the 2023 GLC are also in the GLE, these models have exciting differences. You can use leather upholstery in both vehicles, a heated steering wheel, a household power outlet, a wireless charging pad, smart device app connectivity, and others. The GLE also has massaging front seats, a four-zone auto climate control system, a premium audio system, and several additional features.
