Serving Fort Mitchell, KY

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class boasts a long, rich history of impressing Fort Mitchell’s drivers. Throughout its beautiful evolution, it has continuously integrated technologies and elegant design language with brilliant engineering. Now that you have your eye on a C-Class sedan, you should spend a few minutes learning more about the differences between the 2021 and 2022 versions of the C-Class. This is because the 2022 C-Class enters its fifth generation with updates from front to rear.

Performance

Throughout the standard and AMG®-line trim levels, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is available with several powertrains. The base engine is a 255-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder, 2.0-liter machine. The first AMG® option available for the 2021 model year is equipped with a 385-horsepower, turbo 3.0-liter, V6 engine. Two top-of-the-line V8 powertrains are also available. They produce 469 horsepower and 503 horsepower. For 2022, the base engine continues to produce 255 horsepower. However, it is now engineered with mild-hybrid technology for improved fuel economy. AMG®-line powertrains are also available for the 2022 model year.

Appearance

There are clear exterior design differences between the 2021 and 2022 model year. Specifically, both vehicles have the same grille design, but the 2022 C-Class’s headlights have a stretched, teardrop shape with an upper LED light bar. The entire profile of the 2022 C-Class has shifted to create a longer, more confident hood and a prominent roofline. The side accents on the 2022 version have also transitioned slightly so that they run more horizontally.

Features

The interior of the 2022 C-Class has also been restyled, and the most notable new feature is the larger, vertically-mounted touch display screen. This 11.9-inch screen is angled slightly toward the driver. In addition, subtle changes to the design have created more headroom and legroom in the 2022 C-Class. Both versions have desired features like a sunroof, forward collision mitigation, simulated leather material, memory settings, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a dual-zone auto climate control system, and other gear.
