Performance

The C-Class’s primary engine for the 2022 model year is a 2.0-liter turbo, four-cylinder system. It is tied to a nine-speed auto transmission with rear-wheel drive, and it produces 255 horsepower. 4MATIC® all-wheel drive is available. The C-Class is also offered a hybrid powertrain that bumps up the output by 20 horsepower. The E-Class has three engine options, including the same 255-horsepower engine offered in the C-Class. The other systems are a 362-horsepower V6 turbo 3.0-liter engine and a 429-horsepower turbo V6 engine. The most powerful engine comes with a sport-tuned suspension system and sport-tuned 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The C-Class has head-turning looks, thanks to a striking, double-bar grille design and LED-topped, teardrop-shaped headlights. The cascading hood flows through the clamshell-like roof. The sculpted door panels almost converge as they trend toward the rear. The E-Class has a grand style with a prominent roof and rigorous definition tapering through the hood. The grille has a vertical bar pattern flanked by LED-enhanced headlights. The sides of the E-Class are smoother for a sophisticated touch.

Many of the features that you will find loaded into the luxurious C-Class are also offered in the E-Class.
