What's New for the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE?
Mercedes-Benz has long been recognized for the exceptional engineering in its vehicles, and the V8 gas engines have been particularly coveted for their power. The Mercedes-AMG C 63 sedan is one of the models that has thus far been equipped with a V8 engine, but this changes in the 2024 model year. Most of Mercedes-Benz's vehicles will be electrified by the end of the decade. In a step toward progress, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 E PERFORMANCE is being introduced as a plug-in hybrid sedan. Rather than having a V8 engine, it will use a four-cylinder turbocharged engine mounted longitudinally. It will also derive power from a rear-placed electric motor. While the previous model had rear-wheel drive, and the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 E PERFORMANCE will have AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ all-wheel drive with fully variable torque distribution.
While the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 E PERFORMANCE is a premium sports sedan that sits in the same class as the BMW M3 and a few other elite models, it rises above with its exciting performance abilities. This model will impress you with its quickness and speed, and it boasts a combined system output of 752 pound-feet of torque and 671 horsepower. The sedan's mechanics include an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, an enhanced coil-spring suspension, and an automatic AMG® nine-speed transmission. The driver can adjust the adaptive dampers, stability, and steering through eight drive modes. These include Slippery, Battery Hold, Electric, Sport, Sport+, Individual, Race, and Comfort. In addition, one-pedal functionality is associated with a four-level regenerative braking system.
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 E PERFORMANCE has a fresh look with a 3.6-inch longer body and a 0.4-inch extension to the wheelbase. The updated façade has a powerful look thanks to bold air vents placed on both bumpers and a jet wing design on the nose. The rolling hood and the sides have thin definition lines. In addition, this model comes with up to 20-inch summer tires, quad exhaust finishers, and low ground clearance.
The interior is equally impressive with an overall modern, elegant feel throughout. It shows off high-end materials with bolstered sport seats. A 12.3-inch digital instrument panel sits behind an AMG® steering wheel with paddle shifters. The central display screen measures 11.9 inches and has touch controls. The Mercedes-AMG C 63 E PERFORMANCE also has an MBUX system, voice controls, the latest safety technologies, and other premium features.
