In 2022, the EQB SUV joined the expanding lineup of all-electric crossover SUVs in the Mercedes-Benz Electric lineup. As the smallest option in this category, it encapsulates the refined driving experience expected from the brand. Although the model is just a year old, the 2023 model year brings a notable enhancement — introducing the EQB 250+ SUV trim level. This new addition becomes the base trim level alongside the existing EQB 300 4MATIC® SUV and EQB 350 4MATIC® SUV models. Alongside these choices are Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle sub-trims to tailor your preferences further.
The EQB 250+ SUV boasts a front-mounted electric motor, delivering a robust 188 horsepower. In contrast, the EQB 300 4MATIC® SUV and the EQB 350 4MATIC® SUV feature a dual-motor system, producing 225 horsepower and 288 horsepower, respectively. The EQB 250+ SUV adopts front-wheel drive, while the other two models come equipped with 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.
Externally, the 2023 EQB SUV retains its elegant design, showcasing decadent contours, lower-body molding, and a tall, gently sloping profile. The front end exudes sophistication with a wide grille featuring a chrome double-bar element, seamlessly integrated with LED headlights. The thin fascia below flares outward, creating a dramatic effect. Opting for the Premium sub-trim adds roof rails, 18-inch wheels, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, heated and power-folding side mirrors, and an auto-dimming function on the driver's side. Higher sub-trims may include black exterior trim, keyless entry, and a hands-free liftgate.
The entry-level Premium sub-trim is well-appointed in safety and cabin features. It includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument screen, a 10.25-inch central display screen, parking sensors, dual-zone auto climate control, ambient cabin lighting, automated parking, four USB-C ports, driver attention warning, navigation system, voice controls, smartphone app integration, safe-exit assist, and more. Higher-level sub-trims offer additional features such as a surround-view camera, a premium sound system with 12 speakers, sports seats, a head-up display, augmented video with the navigation system, road sign assistance, gesture control, and more.
