What's New for the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC?
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC is a small crossover SUV packed with luxurious features. More than that, it shows off exquisite styling and has what it takes to impress you behind the wheel. At Mercedes-Benz of Fort Mitchell, our customers often ask about the updates made to this year’s GLC. For 2022, the Mercedes-Benz GLC displays updates to its interior features and performance capabilities.
The GLC’s exterior styling is untouched for the current model year. This model makes a bold statement with its confident, upright stance and angled side contours. Its height is moderated by a sharp curve through the roofline and the angle of the short nose. The wide grille extends across most of the nose and has upright bars for distinction. The headlights add a stunning touch with an LED ribbon that wraps almost around the perimeter.
Inside, the GLC’s style is unchanged, and a few minor features have been reshuffled in the trim lineup. Base trim features for the 2022 model year are a dual-zone climate management system, a power liftgate, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MBUX tech, simulated leather upholstery, and more. The GLC’s higher trims for 2022 add a heads-up display, heated front and rear seats, a 360-degree camera, a tri-zone climate management system, a wireless charging pad, a panoramic sunroof, a driver’s assistance package with numerous safety technologies, and more.
The V8 engine that was available in 2021 is no longer available. Two distinctive powertrains are available for the 2022 GLC across the trim lineup. The base GLC 300 trim mates a nine-speed auto transmission and rear-wheel drive with a turbo four-cylinder, 255-horsepower engine. The GLC 300 4MATIC® adds all-wheel drive. The top-of-the-line AMG® GLC 43 draws 385 horsepower from a turbo V6 engine. This trim comes with sport-tuned all-wheel drive and a sport-tuned air suspension system.
